Birthday Festivities

We were babysitting some cute little friends last night so we decided to have a birthday party for Brinley. We made Elmo cupcakes and grilled hotdogs and the kids played in the pool.
Elise Nunnery, Henry, Kayla, Emmah Barrett, Jack, Sam Nunnery and Brinley.
We decided to get her a trike since the "hand-me-down" trike broke last year. She loves it!! Kayla got her a bike helmet from a school "play money" auction. Henry got her a pair of Dora jammies and Jack got her a set of keys that make noise. She has really been into keys lately and she loves, loves, loves Dora!! She was all about her bike and helmet all morning long. We spent the day going to church, eating Brin's favorite dinner (chicken and rice), having brownie sundaes and playing Go Fish and UNO. We finished the day by watching a Dora video.

Thanks to Aunt Annie for the Dora books and coloring books! Lovin' them!! (Kayla loves her gifts too - you're the best!!)

Happy Birthday Brinley!!

Birthday Girl!!

Today is Brinley's 2nd birthday!! She is so big now and loves all things BIG!! She is speaking so well and she can communicate nearly everything she needs now. She loves her brothers and sister and constantly asks them, "Wanna play family with me?" She's so much fun!! Her new thing to do is she puts her hands very gently on your head and very reverently says, "Jesus Christ, amen" She's a hoot!!
Love you Brin!!

Old Friends

Last weekend our dear friends the Rabners came to visit from Dallas. They arrived on Friday afternoon and had to leave on Saturday night so we made the most of every second they were here! The kids played outside in our own personal water park - slip and slide, pool and water table. I enjoyed just talking to Shelley so much that I didn't even get the camera out. We had a great night of tacos, watching G-Force and just hangin' out!
Saturday morning we went ot see Toy Story 3 and LOVED it!! We had lunch at Red Robin and then went to the Woodlands to play in the fountains. It was a great weekend!!

Summer Fun Stuff

We try to have some sort of "craft time" every day. This day we did painting. This day we did Father's Day cards. (those are the kids finger prints we used for the bug bodies)And this day Brinley decided to get into my pomade (hair wax). GOOD TIMES!!
We washed her hair 5 times before it was back to normal.
These are our new favorite cookies: Chocolate Waffle Turtle Cookies... yummy!!
This is Lars' weekly activity. He's the best!!
Happy Father's Day!! We gave him a belated gift of jumper cables and a tire gauge for the new car. (the old ones were stolen with the truck)

More Birthday!!

For Kayla's birthday we went to the Houston Children's Museum. It was so much fun!! We got a smokin' deal on a year pass so we plan to spend many more fun days there. We had the Billings family come over for cake and ice cream that night and had a great time. Kayla got a 64 pack of crayons from Brin, a homemade decorated can and T-shirt from Jack, a camera case from Henry and a camera from me and Lars. Kayla is wearing the "birthday girl" shirt that Aunt Becky gave her for her 6th birthday. It still fits but this is the last year!!
